Key Stage 1 children have been taking part in the ‘mile a week’ challenge for approximately 2 years. This involves children walking, jogging or running for 15 minutes with the view to developing their health and fitness as well as their well-being. School have changed the ‘mile a week’ to ‘active 15’ where children now have the option of completing a range of circuit based exercises and/or completing the walking, jogging or running activity. As you can see the children have thoroughly enjoyed themselves this afternoon and they were really keen to complete as many of the stations as possible.
