As a school we really value children’s mental health and wellbeing. We promote this through a vast range of ways including; being an active school, delivering PSHE and nurture principle lessons to name but a few. Today the Year 1 and Year 2 children participated in a “Mental Health and Wellbeing” assembly delivered by iMoves. This particular  assembly focused on “Growth Mindset” which taught children how to cope with stressful situations and delivered problem solving skills to help build their resilience and mental toughness. It was clear from discussions that children really benefited from the assembly. They particularly enjoyed that the assemblies involved exercise as they got to be active. As a school we will be delivering more  “Mental Health and Wellbeing” assemblies in the coming weeks. The children were really excited to hear this!
