Our topic this term is ‘Why do you love me so much?’ and we have already enjoyed lots of lovely activities and experiences together.
We have been exploring ourselves, our families, and the things that make us unique. The children have used mirrors to look closely at their faces and talk about their different features. We have also enjoyed making playdough faces and collage hearts, giving the children the opportunity to express themselves creatively.
One of our shared read stories has been ‘The Smeds and the Smoos’, which the children have absolutely loved. Through the story we have rockets and explored colour and colour mixing, experimenting with what happens when different colours are combined.
We will continue to explore this wonderful story and our ‘Why do you love me so much?’ topic over the coming weeks developing the children’s understanding of themselves, their relationships, emotions, similarities and differences. While continuing to have lots of fun!
