Y2 Enterprise Project Nov 2018

As part of an enterprise project the Year 2 children carried out a jumble sale. The children collected money which helped them to further develop their understanding of this aspect of mathematics. Parents commented what an excellent job the children did and how polite they were. The school raised £81.94. Well done Year 2! [...]

Poppy Project

The poppy has a long association with Remembrance Day.  Once the conflict was over the poppy was one of the only plants to grow on the barren battlefields.  Our children created there very own unique poppy project that will be put on display with the Stockbridge Town Council.

Y2 Aerobics Session 16 Oct 2018

This morning the children stopped what they were doing and all took part in a 30 minute aerobics session. The children absolutely loved performing to modern music and were being active for the full session. Staff also enjoyed joining in with the session although some staff commented that the could've done with a rest afterwards. [...]

Valley in Bloom Oct 2018

We had a lovely time today taking part in the 'Valley in Bloom' project. The children did a great job, on behalf of our school. We planted a number of bulbs and plants including hyacinths, daffodils, crocuses and violas. We can't wait to see the flowers in full bloom, come next spring.

Forest School Sept 2018

Reception children in Class 2 had their first forest schools session today. They started off by learning how to stay safe in the woodlands and look for potential hazards. Picnic at Deepcar St John’s July 2018

To celebrate our 50 Anniversary, the children from both schools had a picnic lunch, provided by Taylor Shaw, in the grounds of Deepcar St Johns. The children really enjoyed the picnic especially the ice cream!
