Online Safety

We know that many children at Royd enjoy a range of media, including computers, tablets and games. These are great fun, but it is important to be aware of the risks involved in each of these.

Within our curriculum, we teach online safety to all our children, however it is vital that parents have an overview of what technology children are using and any risks these may pose.

We follow the UK Council for Internet Safety to inform our Online Safety curriculum.  To view our coverage, please click ‘Education for a Connected World – 2020 Edition’ and visit the long term planning that can be accessed via https://www.roydnurseryinfants.co.uk/curriculum/.

If you believe a child is at risk online, you should contact the school to discuss this.  At Royd, our Online Safety Lead is Mr Sly.  If you believe children are in immediate danger, please call 999 and ask for the police.
