Our nursery children have had a wonderful start to the term, settling into their new environment, building positive relationships with adults and peers, and beginning to form lovely new friendships. This week, we have enjoyed a special Stay and Play session, welcoming parents into nursery and giving the children the opportunity to proudly show them around, share their favourite areas and explore our provision together.
Throughout the nursery, children have been busy playing, learning and discovering new experiences. They have enjoyed making conker caterpillars, counting and saying numbers in sequence, and exploring creative printing using a variety of vegetables and paint. Our role-play shop has been a particular favourite, with children writing their own shopping lists, choosing their items and using money to pay for their shopping, developing their early writing, mathematical and communication skills through imaginative play.
Outdoors, children and parents have explored our exciting outdoor provision together. They have enjoyed washing fruits and vegetables in the water tray, making marks on the chalkboard and experimenting with rollers and paint on the easel to create their own colourful patterns and designs.
It has been lovely to see the children growing in confidence, sharing their experiences with their families and developing a strong sense of belonging within our nursery community. We look forward to continuing this exciting journey of learning, friendship and exploration together!
