This term in the 2 year provision our topic has been ‘Are eggs alive?’ The children watched our eggs in the incubator keeping warm until they hatched and were very excited to see the little chicks inside. We talked about the chicks and using our kind fingers the children enjoyed stroking them. The children then had various activities around the provision such as decorating their own little chicks using glue, the sand and water had plastic eggs in to fill up and empty, using pom poms on a clothes peg to print paint onto an egg shaped card watching what happens when the colours mix together. The children loved to pretend they were little chicks. A very fun time for everyone.
