During arts week in Nursery the children have loved exploring the book ‘Rumble in the Jungle’. We have looked at the characters from the story and talked about how they move, what they eat and what they look like.
We have really enjoyed making a clay snake and using clay tools to put patterns on them and making snakes from threading pasta tubes. These look brilliant!
We have explored printing a pattern onto a giraffe and making zebras and tigers out of our handprints! We enjoyed getting quite messy with this!
We also worked on our collage skills, making various animals such as a hippo, elephant, parrot and a butterfly. All of the children’s work looks very eye-catching.
Our sketching skills were practiced by helping to make our very own crocodile. The children worked together to sketch some detail onto his body and shade in some of his sharp teeth and claws.
