The children really enjoyed their stay and play where their relatives came into school to join in with different activities. The activities were based around the children’s topic ‘how does that building stay up?’ and around the celebration of Chinese New Year. Activities included: using junk modelling to build giant structures, using marshmallows and spaghetti to create a structure, painting the Chinese symbol for rabbit in celebration of the year of the rabbit and collaging a Chinese lantern. The children really enjoyed the afternoon and got stuck into all the activities, demonstrating their creativity and imagination.
