The Year 2 children had an amazing time on their residential at Whirlow Hall Farm on Wednesday 18th – Friday 20th June. They all enjoyed the farm tour and farm jobs which included feeding the animals, petting the animals and learning about what they like to eat and how they live. The children also enjoyed a long walk in the glorious sunshine which led them to a playground for them to have even more fun! They were all extremely well-behaved and a credit to both you as parents/carers and to Royd. As staff, we have thoroughly enjoyed seeing the children flourish in a non-school environment trying new things, extending their knowledge and strengthening existing friendships, as well as making new friendships.
