“Bounce” Oct 2023

This half term’s topic is based around the theme ‘Bounce’. The children in class 8 have been exploring on Purple Mash in Computing to create their own music. Children began the lesson by learning about staying safe on devices at home and in school and we discussed the importance of passwords. They then logged onto Purple Mash and began exploring on the programme ‘2beat’. After this, the children were given instructions on how to create a piece of music and they had to replicate the piece of music on their sheet. Finally, the children were able to create their own piece of music and they were allowed to unplug their earphones and play their music out loud one at a time to the rest of the class! We discussed how they had changed the pace, volume and instrument and what they liked or might change next time. What a fun lesson we had!
