In Autumn 2 the children in Key Stage 1 have learnt all about ‘Incarnation: the birth of Jesus” as part of Religious Education. They have explored the religion Christianity and learnt about the meaning behind Christmas. The children know that Christians believe Christmas to be a time to remember the birth of Jesus and also to give thanks to others. As a result, the children decided they wanted to show their thanks and spread the festive spirit across the community. We are so proud to say that the children worked so hard, designing and making Christmas cards for the residents of Belmont House. The carers and residents were so grateful to receive these, thanks to the thoughtfulness and love of our children. On behalf of everyone at Royd Nursery Infant School, staff and children, we hope that all of our families and the community had a very Merry Christmas.
