Royd Nursery Infant School holds the Eco-Schools Green Flag with Distinction Award? The Eco-Schools Green Flag is an internationally recognised award and celebrates excellence in environmental action and learning. Our Eco project empowers and motivates the children at Royd to drive change for a more sustainable planet and raises environmental awareness in our school and local community. We have a dedicated team of children named the “Eco Warriors” that launch campaigns for the whole school to take part in such as ‘Switch Off Fortnight’, ‘Waste Week’ and ‘Walk To School Week’. The Green Flag with Distinction Award is the highest possible level that a school can be awarded. It gives added recognition to those Eco schools who go a little further with their Eco projects.
