In Class One we have had a busy start to the new term. As well as continuing our learning and understanding of Diwali ‘The Festival of Light’ we have started to think more about the season of Autumn and what changes we have noticed including, change in colours, the weather and what our animals are starting to do to prepare for the Winter months. The children have enjoyed completing lots of autumnal activities, which link to their current learning e.g. reading sounds and words off falling leaves and ordering squirrels, then giving them the correct number of acorns. We have also enjoyed completing lots of creative tasks and using our imaginations when engaging in our small world areas. We have recently just started thinking about shadows and how they are formed and we have been having lots of fun playing the game ‘what am I? based on the silhouettes that we can see. Class One are already starting to think about Christmas and are getting excited for the festive few weeks ahead!
