This half term’s topic is based around the theme ‘What is a shadow?’. The children in the 2 year provision have enjoyed exploring the different areas of the room including drawing using charcoal to create a shadow picture distinguishing the different marks they make. The children have enjoyed using magnifying glasses to look at the silhouettes on the light box and matching animal pictures to the silhouettes. The children have enjoyed looking at their shadows using their bodies and fingers to make shapes and animals.
