Yesterday Miss Jones took our Bear of Sheffield to meet his friends.
The bears are all being collected this week ready to go out on display in July this year.
We believe the school bears will be on display inside with an additional  trail of bears dotted around Sheffield for children/families to go and find.
The Deepcar St John’s and Royd Bear has focused on the geographical and Historical features of our area. It also incorporates ideas from the children who responded during lockdown.
Mrs Liz Crossland, who works across both schools, and children who attend both schools have painted the bear.
This has been an amazing project  and also supports the Children’s Hospital Charity.
Have a look at the slideshow to see how progress of the Bear developed over time.
