The children’s topic this half term is ‘Muck, Mess and Mixtures’. As part of their Science learning, the children have been looking at different materials (metal, wood, plastic, glass) and their properties (e.g. rigid, flexible, hard, smooth, transparent, shiny, dull, rough and opaque.) The children really enjoyed working with partners and exploring a range of objects made from different materials before sorting them into the correct category e.g. fork = metal.
