Last academic year the school received the top Eco Award which is the “Green Award”.
This week the children have completed the annual ‘Switch off Fortnight’ campaign. The children loved learning about saving energy and the importance of promoting wastage and reducing our use of fossil fuels to protect our planet.
Over the past two weeks, Eco monitors from each class within school have been busy checking classrooms within their year group bubble. They awarded them with either a green or an orange traffic light dependent on what had been left switched on, such as lights, monitors and whiteboards. The rule was ‘if it is not being used, switch it off!’
We hope the children continue to use what they have learnt when at home and if they are not using something, ‘switch it off!’
