The children in Reception have had a roar-some start to their topic, “Which is the Biggest Dinosaur?” 🦖
Our learning got off to a truly stomp-tastic start with an exciting visit where we came face to face with a fantastic range of life-like dinosaurs! Since then, we’ve been busy exploring the prehistoric world—learning about different types of dinosaurs, their tricky names, and whether they were herbivores or carnivores. We even discovered why these amazing creatures are now extinct.
The children have also become budding palaeontologists, digging for fossils and pretending to hunt for dinosaur bones! 🦴
We’ve linked our maths and literacy learning to our dinosaur adventures, and have loved getting creative too—designing erupting volcanoes and making our very own dinosaur masterpieces using a variety of materials and media.
It’s been a dino-mite start, and we can’t wait to see where our learning takes us next!
