The children completed their last forest school session on Friday. They then made their very own woodland flags. The children used natural materials and mixed it together with water before then decorating their flags. They also played a game of hide and seek. The children have thoroughly enjoyed the forest schools sessions.
As part of week three the children created Woodlands dens. They had to create a den that would keep a woodland creature warm, dry and safe. As part of week two the children recapped safety aspects that were taught last week. Children were taught how to stay safe in the woodlands and spot potential hazards. They also looked at staying within certain boundaries. The children were given time to explore the woodlands and use their imagination. The teacher then hid name cards in the woodland for the children to find.
For Arts Week, the children in Class 1 and Class 2 read the story 'Billy's Bucket'. We then did lots of art activities based on the story. These included making clay starfish, making bubble wrap jellyfish, painting our own under the sea scene and lots more. We are really proud of our achievements!
