The children in Foundation Stage One and Two had a very exciting day today as they were visited by lots of different animals. As part of our ‘Why do spiders eat flies?’ topic; the children were able to meet lots of different creatures including a corn snake called Crunchy Nut, a tarantula named Rosie and a tortoise named Timothy. It was exciting to touch and hold lots of the animals but we had to remember to be still and quiet so that we didn’t scare them. We also learnt some interesting facts such as corn snakes like to eat rats and some tortoises can live up to 200 years old! Well done to all the children as they were really brave when holding or touching the animals and took great care of them.
