The children in Nursery have had a very exciting couple of days as they were visited by lots of different animals. As part of our curriculum we want our children to learn all about nature and living things…our visit from Creature Ark was a big hit; the children were able to meet lots of different animals including a snake called Crunchy Nut, a tarantula named Rosie and a hedgehog named Beatrix. It was exciting to touch and hold lots of the animals but we had to remember to be still and quiet so that we didn’t scare them. We also learnt some interesting facts such as corn snakes like to eat rats and some tortoises can live up to 200 years old! Well done to all the children as they were really brave when holding or touching the animals and took great care of them.
